Privacy policy
This notice informs you about which personal data we process when you visit this website, for what purpose this is done and which rights you have. Processing is carried out in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG) and the German Telecommunications-Telemedia Data Protection Act (TDDDG).
1. Controller
The controller within the meaning of the GDPR is:
2. General information
Personal data is any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person (Art. 4 No. 1 GDPR). We process your data exclusively on the basis of statutory provisions and only for the purposes described in this notice.
Data transmission over the internet (e.g. when communicating by email) may have security gaps. Complete protection of data against access by third parties is not possible.
3. Hosting & server log files
This website is hosted on our own server (Windows Server / IIS). No data is transmitted to external hosting service providers.
When the website is accessed, the web server automatically collects the following data in so-called server log files:
- IP address of the requesting computer (anonymised after 7 days)
- Date and time of access
- Name and URL of the file accessed
- Amount of data transferred
- Browser type and version (user agent)
- Operating system
- Referrer URL (the previously visited page)
Legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in secure, fault-free operation). The data is deleted or anonymised after 7 days at the latest. No merging with other data sources takes place.
4. SSL/TLS encryption
For security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, this site uses SSL/TLS encryption. An encrypted connection is indicated in the browser address bar (https:// instead of http://) and the lock symbol.
5. Cookies & similar technologies
We use cookies and similar storage technologies (e.g. localStorage). Cookies are small text files stored on your device that cause no harm.
We distinguish the following categories:
- Necessary: These storage entries are essential to operate the website (e.g. to remember your cookie choice). No personal data is transmitted to third parties.
- Functional: Stores your language and theme preference locally in the browser (localStorage). No data is transmitted to third parties.
- External media: Allows loading Google Fonts (web fonts) from Google servers. Your IP address will be transmitted to Google. Without consent, system fonts are used as fallback.
The legal basis for technically necessary storage access is § 25 (2) TDDDG in conjunction with Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. All other cookies/storage access are only set with your consent (§ 25 (1) TDDDG, Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR).
You can withdraw your consent at any time with future effect.
6. Google Fonts (web fonts)
This website uses so-called web fonts provided by Google Ireland Limited (Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland) to display fonts consistently. The fonts are loaded only if you have consented to the "External media" category.
When loading, your browser transmits your IP address as well as technical information (user agent, referrer) to Google servers, which may be located in the USA. Google processes this data in accordance with its privacy policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy).
Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR (consent). Without consent, system fonts (sans-serif) are displayed as a fallback.
7. Contact form
When you send us an enquiry via the contact form, we process the data you provide – your name and email address (mandatory) and, optionally, phone number, company, subject and your message – solely to handle your enquiry and for any follow-up questions. Providing this data is voluntary; without your name, email and message we cannot process your enquiry. Submitting the form requires your explicit consent via the checkbox.
Transmission is encrypted (TLS) to a processing script on our web space at STRATO AG (server location Germany/EU). From there your enquiry is forwarded by email to our mailbox; where applicable you receive an automatic acknowledgement of receipt. No data is passed on to third parties, and the contact form does not use any tracking, analytics or advertising services.
The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR) as well as contract initiation or our legitimate interest in handling your enquiry (Art. 6 (1) (b) and (f) GDPR). You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future, e.g. by email to [email protected]. The data will be deleted as soon as the purpose ceases to apply and statutory retention periods do not preclude this.
8. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the following rights:
- Right of access (Art. 15 GDPR)
- Right to rectification (Art. 16 GDPR)
- Right to erasure (Art. 17 GDPR)
- Right to restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
- Right to data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)
- Right to object (Art. 21 GDPR)
- Right to withdraw consent (Art. 7 (3) GDPR)
Right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority: Landesbeauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit Nordrhein-Westfalen (Kavalleriestraße 2-4, 40213 Düsseldorf)
9. Retention period
We only store personal data for as long as is necessary to fulfil the stated purposes or for as long as statutory retention periods (e.g. under the German Commercial Code or Fiscal Code) require. After the purpose ceases to apply, the data is deleted or anonymised.
10. Changes to this notice
We reserve the right to adapt this privacy policy so that it always complies with the current legal requirements or to implement changes to our services. The new privacy policy will then apply to your next visit.
