Our Portuguese branch sits inside the Sapec Bay industrial estate at the port of Setúbal — not on the edge of the industrial area it serves, but within it. Around 63 kilometres to the south lies Sines, with Portugal’s largest refinery and petrochemical complex and its deep-water port; to the north follows the Greater Lisbon area.
The Setúbal–Sines–Lisbon axis concentrates practically the whole of Portuguese process industry within a little over a hundred kilometres. For on-site machining that is a favourable constellation: short journeys to plants that depend on external specialists during shutdowns, because the nearest comparable capacity would otherwise be abroad.
